Company Overview An established multinational organisation with a significant presence in Australia and New Zealand, this company is seeking a Financial Analyst to support their regional commercial operations. The Role In this role, you partner closely with commercial stakeholders across the Asia Pacific region, providing financial analysis and insights to support business decisions. You’ll be responsible for month end close, forecasting, budgeting, long term planning and strategic modelling. You will bring exceptional analytical skills, sharp attention to detail and the ability to not only extract but illustrate the story behind the numbers. Responsibilities Your key responsibilities will include: Organisation and management of the month-end close process and consolidation of financial data into Board Reports Working closely with the FP&A team to prepare key analysis and commentary around monthly P&L, Balance Sheet and Capital Expenditure Playing a key and lead role in the modelling of business financials Providing critical commentary on the overall business’ deviations against budget and/or forecast, and modelling impact of any risks/opportunities Providing ongoing support, insights and analysis with respect to budgeting/forecasting Establishing and optimizing processes efficiencies Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial performance and operational efficiency Provide high quality commentary and analysis for the weekly, monthly and adhoc reporting packs Drive process improvement throughout the business with performance and trend analysis Frequent adhoc project and analysis opportunities for performance, product and investment decisions The Candidate Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline Completion of a CPA or CA qualification Experience in a similar analytical role within a commercial or listed global organisation (preferred but not essential) Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive, collaborative relationships with stakeholders Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment Ability to possess an understanding of a complex set of data Strong Financial acumen to produce reconciliations and accurate results in a fast-paced, ever moving workplace Data analysis experience utilising tools such as PowerBI/Power Query will be highly advantageous.
