Permanent Opportunity Leadership Role Growing Organisation An exciting opportunity exists for a technically strong, hands-on Operations & Maintenance Manager to join a growing manufacturing organisation in the Parramatta region. This role is ideal for a maintenance leader who thrives in a high-volume production environment, enjoys implementing systems and processes, and leading a diverse, skilled team. About the Role Reporting to senior management, you will oversee advanced production systems that require specialised processing equipment, ensuring reliability, compliance, and optimal output. This includes leading maintenance programs, troubleshooting complex equipment, and implementing preventive measures to maximise uptime and product quality. Experience with high-volume, precision-driven production environments is highly valued. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the site maintenance and engineering team Develop, implement, and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs Ensure reliability and optimal performance of specialised, high-pressure production systems Drive continuous improvement in production systems, processes, and operational efficiency Troubleshoot complex equipment issues and provide hands-on support when required Participate in an after-hours on-call roster for critical breakdowns Implement and maintain safe systems of work, compliance, and reporting frameworks Manage spare parts, local and international service providers, and contractors Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and installations Develop and monitor maintenance KPIs, schedules, and documentation Mentor, coach, and develop team capability and performance About You Trade qualification as a Fitter & Turner, Mechanical Engineer, or similar Electrical experience or exposure is highly regarded Proven experience leading technical teams in manufacturing or FMCG environments Strong capability in implementing systems, processes, and maintenance frameworks Hands-on approach with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Experience managing high-volume, precision-driven production systems is highly valued Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability Willingness to be on-call after hours for critical equipment issues Why Join?
