In this role, you will take a leading role in managing, coordinating, and delivering a range of policy, program and grant initiatives that support the Closing the Gap reform objectives. You will engage with policy partners and key Aboriginal and government stakeholders, fostering strong relationships to drive collaboration and achieve meaningful outcomes. With a variety of project work at hand, your strong writing skills will be essential in preparing high-quality reports, briefings, and policy documents. We're Looking For We are seeking a motivated and capable Senior Project Officer with strong experience in policy, program and project delivery, and a commitment to advancing Closing the Gap reforms across NSW Government. You will demonstrate initiative and drive, taking senior responsibility for delivering complex policy and program initiatives in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment. You are confident providing high‑quality advice to senior leaders, and can balance competing priorities while meeting tight timeframes. Strong communication and collaboration skills - You communicate clearly and persuasively with diverse audiences and build trusted relationships across government and with Aboriginal stakeholders. Influence and negotiation capability -You engage constructively on complex and sensitive issues, recognising diverse perspectives and working towards practical, agreed outcomes. Analytical and problem‑solving skills - You apply sound judgement and critical thinking to complex policy and implementation challenges, undertake research, developing evidence‑based and practical solutions.
