The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) is seeking a capable and motivated Operations Coordinator to join our Legal Branch within Enabling Services. This role provides essential knowledge management, system, communications and project coordination to support the delivery of key priorities as a member of the Office of the General Counsel. About the role As an Operations Coordinator, you will contribute to a broad range of operational functions that underpin the Legal Branch’s strategic and day‑to‑day activities. You will apply your knowledge of IT and systems to enhance request management and knowledge management platforms, and support project planning and delivery by maintaining documentation, monitoring risks and issues, preparing reports and tracking resources. The role also involves identifying opportunities for process improvement and driving their implementation through clear, well‑structured communications that support collaboration and alignment with key priorities for the Team and Branch. You will coordinate business services such as reporting, procurement, system access and records management, ensuring compliance with relevant policy requirements. Your ability to build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders is an integral part of this role to enable you to establish effective information flows, lead consultations and working groups, and ensure effective collaboration with the Branch and Leadership team. About you You will bring strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high‑quality outcomes. You will be confident working with business systems and knowledge management tools, and comfortable navigating IT platforms to support operational improvements. Your communication skills will enable you to tailor messages to diverse audiences, write clearly and concisely, and engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders. You will demonstrate sound analytical capability, using research and evidence to inform recommendations and identify practical solutions. You will be proactive, collaborative and adaptable, contributing positively to a small, high‑performing team.
