Reporting to the Health and Safety Superintendent on-site, you will provide Health and Safety advice and support to Laverton Operations site and contract partners. This opportunity is a permanent, FIFO role on a balanced 8 days on, 6 days off, roster cycle, flying from Perth to Leonora. The Opportunity: Providing support to the Health and Safety Superintendent in the communication, effective operation and continual improvement review of the health and safety components of the Company’s Health & Safety Management System across Genesis Minerals Operations. Providing advice and support with implementation of legislated health and safety requirements across all Genesis Operations. Assist with the development, review and implementation of HS management plans, procedures and guidance material including contributing to the HS compliance matrix; demonstrate effective performance in achieving agreed HS goals that support the department, site and company standards within set timeframes. Supporting operational line supervision and contractor partners to build their safety leadership and behaviour capabilities. Supporting the implementation, verification and growth of the company fatality prevention program. Auditing compliance to HSEC Management Standards and implementation of inspection schedules. Participating, facilitating and providing coaching as required in risk management processes. Supporting roll out of HS initiatives, training and coaching programs. Provide in field leadership through coaching, supporting and influencing line supervisors with the utilisation of safety tools and standards (Fatality Risk Control Standards, Event Reporting Systems and MoC). Providing coaching in incident management including investigation support, analysis, and corrective action development. Maintaining the HSE reporting system including moderating incident data to ensure high level of quality. What you can expect from us: A caring and supportive culture. We’re excited to hear from you if you have: Safety advisory mining experience with familiarity in Open Pit Mining and/or Processing Plants is desirable Certificate 4 in Work, Health and Safety or higher qualification Cert 4 Training and Assessment Cert 3 or higher in Mine Emergency Response, including closed circuit Incident investigation qualification (ICAM, Tap Root or similar). Demonstrated high level of computer literacy (e.g. MS Office, Pronto, INX, HSE management systems and Chem Alert). Lead Auditor qualification.
