This business offers the traditional EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) business model, as well as their own design, development and manufacturing capability for Energy Storage Systems. Key Duties As an Electrical Engineer working on Solar and Battery Systems design, you will manage technical project requirements and perform due diligence for new commercial & utility scale Solar and Batter/Energy storage systems. Reporting into the Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance to technical standards, solar and energy storage systems design, DNSP connection applications, project budgets and overall technical specifications. Digital Engineering & Modelling (PowerCAD, AutoCAD, PVSyst, Helioscope) Scope works, provide quotes and proposals in-line with Business Development Manager proposals Prepare system schematics & PV Layout, including HV, LV, DC & AC Attend site inspections and assist with pricing, bill of materials Support customers with renewable energy and energy storage systems design Lead technical inputs into projects to Australian standards Grid-connected & Off-grid inverters, LV & HV systems Design solar distribution boards Commission renewable energy and battery/injection testing grid protection relays Design and materiel selection for Solar PV & Battery storage systems Co-ordinate and aid creation of drawings based on project designs Generate and submit network applications and DCR’s for energy projects Resolve technical issues during installation, make amendments to design/requirements where necessary Support all teams with technical related queries and issues Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will come from an Electrical Engineering environment and be backed with higher education electrical engineering academics. Degree in Electrical Engineering SAA Accredited for Grid Connected PV, Standalone PV & Battery Ideally RPEQ registered however not completely essential Considerable number of years working in the Renewable Energy sector in Australia Time spent working closely and being involved with Solar &/or Energy Storage system design
