The opportunity We are looking for a dynamic full-time, Senior Financial Accountant to join our Sydney based team, reporting to the Financial Controller. This would be a great role for someone looking to make their first move out of audit. Key Responsibilities include: Managing month end close for the Group, ensuring reconciliations are completed within month end timeframes. Coordinating the annual audit process and prepare our consolidated financial statements. Supporting with technical accounting and IFRS compliance, including share based payments, lease accounting and revenue recognition. Contributing to global tax compliance, including preparation of income tax returns, BAS/IAS, FBT, including working with external tax advisors. Preparing cross border transfer pricing calculations and intercompany charges. Overseeing monthly invoicing and manage debtors to ensure timely cash collection. Using your excel capabilities to support our FP&A function, delivering clear and insightful data analysis. Supporting assistant accountant with co-ordination payables and payment processing activities. Supporting payroll manager with oversight of outsourced payroll function and associated balance sheet reconciliations. Making impactful changes to the Group finance function by looking for opportunities to streamline, automate and otherwise improve our BAU processes. What do you need to apply? CA or CPA qualification 4 years experience in audit or financial accounting. Highly proficient in excel Exposure to NetSuite or other cloud-based accounting system a plus, but not essential. Whilst maintaining good work-life harmony is important to us, we will require a certain amount of flexibility to work outside of office hours when necessary, to accommodate the demands of a global business spanning multiple time zones.
