Introduction THE OPPORTUNITY Working closely with the Senior Finance Manager, Development, this role partners with the development team to deliver accurate and timely financial outcomes. As Senior Development Accountant you will be responsible for month‑end processes, development project costing, management reporting, and financial analysis, including monthly and quarterly reporting and tax compliance. Key Responsibilities will include; Lead the preparation and review of monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow reporting, and quarterly reporting packs. Deliver monthly management reporting, including management packs, detailed cost reports, project‑level financial analysis, and development cost schedules. Reconcile project cost reports to approved project feasibilities, identifying and explaining variances and risks. Support quarterly reforecasts and annual budgeting processes, including scenario analysis and sensitivity modelling. Assist in the standardisation, enhancement, and automation of development finance processes and reporting, driving efficiency and consistency across the portfolio. Provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members as required. Undertake other ad‑hoc analysis and finance support as requested by senior management. YOUR BACKGROUND Proven experience in property development accounting (essential). CPA/CA qualified Business / Commerce / Accounting Bachelor’s degree Strong financial accounting background with hands‑on month‑end and reporting responsibility. Experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting within a project‑based environment. Prior experience in a senior or autonomous accounting role is highly regarded. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and broader Microsoft Office applications. Experience with accounting and ERP systems in a development or project environment. High level of systems aptitude and process improvement capability. Commercially minded with a collaborative, solutions‑focused approach.
