Preparing month end journals and reconciliations across various areas which may include cash , intercompany, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and other financial statement line items as required by the Senior Financial Accountant and assisting with other month end and quarterly tasks including the preparation of disclosure packages and analytics. D ay - to - day accountabilities : Preparation of timely and accurate journal entries and reconciliations Assistance with preparation of supplementary monthly and quarterly close deliverables Assistance with periodic internal and external audit requirements Assistance with external financial reporting requirements including financial statements Assistance with ad hoc financial requests as Identification and implementation of improvements relating to close process Work closely with the FP&A team to analyse and understand actuals/inform the forecast Adherence to internal control (SOX) requirements including maintenance of critical reports and spreadsheets To read more about the role please click here to v iew j ob d escription This is a 12 month Fixed term Contract role ( maternity leave ) and can be located our Surry Hills, Sydney Campus or Flinders Street Campus Melbourne. Who you are Minimum 3 years of finance experience CA or CPA designation Up to date and solid technical knowledge of IFRS accounting standards (US GAAP exposure is an advantage) Advanced Excel PeopleSoft (would be an advantage) Experience operating within a well-established internal control environment in medium to large organisations. Ability to work independently Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills Problem solving skills High energy and proactive Integrity/strong business ethics Why join us?
