The Role Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you will work very closely with the Assistant Finance Manager and the broader finance team of six. The Assistant Accountant plays a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting and supporting commercial decision-making across a large, multi-entity hospitality business. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys pace, complexity, and being part of a supportive, high-calibre team. Key responsibilities: Month-end close including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations Maintaining the general ledger across multiple entities Daily bank and credit card reconciliations BAS preparation and lodgement Intercompany accounting and reconciliations Variance analysis and posting adjusting journals Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis Supporting statutory reporting, audits, and ATO compliance Contributing to continuous improvement of finance processes and internal controls Transactional finance is outsourced, allowing this role to fully focus on month-end, analysis, and reporting. Your Profile You are a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment and enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders.
