Job Description Mission of the role To ensure accurate, timely, and reliable financial operations across Our client’s global entities by owning core accounting workflows, AR and AP, month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting preparation. The Senior Financial Accountant builds scalable financial hygiene, strengthens financial visibility, and enables leadership to make confident operational decisions and enabling systems and processes for automation and scale. This role is responsible for executional financial integrity and operational rigor, while supporting forecasting, compliance, and reporting under the direction of the COO and external finance partners. Key Challenges (First 12–24 Months) Establish a highly reliable and predictable month-end close across AU, UK, US, and CA entities. Ensure complete and accurate revenue recognition, reconciliations, and financial reporting in a multi-entity SaaS and Services environment. Coordinate effectively with external bookkeepers, tax advisors, and payroll providers while maintaining internal ownership and control. Strengthen financial hygiene and automation across systems including Xero, Syft, Airwallex, Rippling and later (Chargebee or similar). Improve financial visibility and operational efficiency as Our client scales globally with increasing transaction volume and complexity. Build scalable processes that reduce manual work and enable accurate forecasting and reporting Scope & Impact Scope The Senior Accountant is Responsible for core accounting execution across Our client’s global entities, including: ● Month-end close ● Reconciliations (bank, revenue, payroll, expenses, intercompany) ● Accounts payable and receivable governance and execution ● Revenue reconciliation and support for revenue recognition policy ● Management reporting preparation ● Audit preparation and coordination ● Coordination with external accountants, tax advisors, and payroll providers. Financial footprint supported: ● Multi-entity global structure (AU, UK, US, CA) ● Multi-currency operations and intercompany transfers ● SaaS subscription revenue model ● Rapid scaling global operations. Failure Looks Like ● Late or inaccurate financial reporting ● Poor reconciliations and financial control ● Leadership lacks confidence in financial data ● Manual, fragile, or inconsistent processes Key Outputs (First 12 Months) Deliver monthly financial close within ≤ 5 business days with zero material errors. Maintain fully reconciled accounts across bank, payroll, revenue, expenses, and balance sheet accounts each month. Prepare complete and accurate monthly management reporting packs including P&L, balance sheet, cashflow, and variance analysis. Ensure accurate and timely invoicing, AR tracking, and AP management across all entities. Improve finance operational efficiency through process improvements and automation, reducing manual workflows.
