Our client, a leading provider of managed IT public cloud services, is seeking an experienced Azure Engineer to join their Public Cloud team. This role offers the opportunity to work across Australia and New Zealand, tackling a mix of project work, BAU activities & troubleahooting Key responsibilities include: Providing expert Level 3 support for Azure and related public cloud IT services within a Managed Service Provider environment. Building, deploying, and maintaining scalable, secure Azure infrastructure. Developing and reviewing technical change requests and operational documentation. Leading initiatives in automation, scripting, infrastructure as code, and DevOps to enhance service delivery. Providing guidance and escalation support to peers and project engineers. Engaging directly with customers through regular reviews, communication, and workshops to foster strong relationships. Collaborating on project design, migration plans, and testing to support cloud solutions. Participating in a rotating after-hours on-call roster to ensure continuous service availability (approx 1 week in 5 - there is an on-call allowance payable plus a per hour fee for any incidents) Desired Qualifications & Experience: Strong commercial experience with the Azure stack (spanning AD, DevOps, VMSS, Data Factory, Blob, networking, firewalls, AKS, SQL, Functions, etc) Experience working with an MSP/IT services company Knowledge of the AWS platform Strong scripting & automation skills IaC expertise. Terraform is the weapon of choice here, but BICEP expereience also works Certs around Azure, AWS, Cisco, Cybersec, Windows, Linux, Kubes & Terraform Strong communication skills - you'll need to interface well with the team & customers What's in it for you?
