Immediate start 6-month contract with potential for extension Brisbane CBD location Eden Ritchie Recruitment are seeking an experienced AO5 Asset Manager for a contract opportunity based in Brisbane City, with an immediate start and strong potential for extension. This role is ideal for a property or asset management professional who enjoys working across a diverse government portfolio and contributing to strategic service delivery outcomes. About the Role Reporting to the Principal Asset Manager, you will be responsible for the effective management of a government-owned office accommodation portfolio. You will apply best-practice asset management principles while supporting contemporary government initiatives and the evolving needs of multiple agencies. Key Responsibilities Provide expert asset management advice, guidance and training to internal and external stakeholders Contribute specialist input and project management support to major and minor works programs Manage revenue and expenditure, assist with budget planning and maximise investment returns Ensure assets are managed in line with organisational strategies, policies and frameworks Conduct property inspections in accordance with asset management principles (some travel required) Review and contribute to accommodation policies and strategic initiatives Prepare high-quality reports, briefings, correspondence and submissions Represent the organisation at meetings, forums and stakeholder engagements About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: Demonstrated experience applying best-practice asset management across a large or complex property portfolio Strong analytical capability, with experience producing and interpreting property data and making evidence-based recommendations Proven experience managing projects and programs within agreed timeframes and budgets An understanding of how property portfolios support broader government and organisational objectives Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills The ability to adapt to change, negotiate outcomes and build effective working relationships If you are a strategic thinker with strong asset management expertise and a passion for delivering outcomes across large property portfolios, this role offers the challenge and exposure you’ve been looking for.
