Job Description -Lead safety on a major marine infrastructure project -Develop skills through global ACCIONA programs -Make an impact on WA’s long-term water security About the Project The ASWA project forms part of the Alkimos Seawater Alliance project, a major water security initiative for Perth. The marine scope delivers offshore works that support the plant’s intake and outfall structures. This includes barge-based construction, marine transit and offshore installation in dynamic ocean conditions. The project strengthens long-term water supply by building resilient marine infrastructure. ACCIONA leads the marine delivery with strong expertise in complex coastal works. About the Opportunity You lead safety across barge and marine operations and support safe systems of work for the ASWA project on a 2/2 roster. You conduct risk assessments, deliver field leadership, monitor marine activities and partner with the Barge Master during emergency response. You provide port and vessel inductions, support incident investigation, maintain safety equipment procurement and apply first aid including advanced treatment under physician direction. You work on an alternating roster with accommodation onboard and report to the Health and Safety Operations Manager. What are the key accountabilities for the position? -Lead health and safety inspections across marine work -Review and assess marine and port risk -Strengthen communication between barge, port and project teams -Deliver effective first aid and support medical evacuation -Build and maintain external stakeholder relationships -Manage registers and complete safety administration -Support incident response and investigation Required Skills and Competencies -Cert IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum) -Incident investigation qualification -ISO auditing (preferred) -Alcohol and drug testing accreditation (preferred) -Occupational First Aid or related qualification (advantageous) What we offer You will work on a technically complex marine scope that strengthens Western Australia’s water security.
