Principal Enterprise Architect – Strategy & Governance – Cloud, Data & OT – Contract Our client, a national leader in the utilities and energy infrastructure sector, is seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect to lead enterprise-wide architecture during a pivotal period of change. As the most senior architecture role in the organisation, this position is critical to refreshing the 5-year roadmap, strengthening governance and guiding strategic technology decisions across Cloud, Data and OT. This role will be instrumental in preserving architectural integrity, uplifting capability and aligning future-state architecture with evolving business priorities. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Lead the development and governance of enterprise architecture aligned to business strategy. Chair architecture forums (TDA, SDA, ARB) and enforce standards across cloud, infrastructure and data. Provide leadership across IT/OT convergence, cyber security, and architectural compliance. Shape cost-efficient architecture decisions balancing CapEx/OpEx and long-term platform sustainability. Guide digital initiatives including cloud migrations, advanced analytics, automation, and IoT integration. Mentor architects across domains and uplift architecture maturity enterprise-wide. Support investment planning and strategic alignment of transformation initiatives. Influence senior business and technology leaders with insights into risk, opportunity, and value. The role will be offered as an initial 12-month contract with a flexible hybrid WFH agreement. Base location in VIC, NSW or QLD. Occasional travel may be required for key architecture and governance forums. The skills/experience needed will include but not be limited to: 7 years in Enterprise and/or Solution Architecture across complex asset-intensive environments. Deep expertise across cloud-native platforms (e.g AWS, Azure), modern data architectures, and OT/IT integration. Proven success leading architecture governance and aligning technology investment with business strategy. Strong commercial acumen with a clear understanding of cost optimisation and platform reuse. Excellent stakeholder engagement, with the ability to influence at executive level. Relevant certifications (e.g TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Cyber Security). Experience in regulated sectors such as energy, utilities, infrastructure, or financial services. Want to apply?
