This is a newly created position reporting into the EGM, leading a national business development team created by structural change and major investment. The role will lead the national new business acquisition strategy driving robust long-term growth across the SME and mid-market waste services sector. The Role: Lead, develop and grow the team. The BD team is experienced, spread nationally, and segmented by sector. The new leader is expected to bring more structure, process, and discipline to sales, moving beyond the current organic and fluid approach. There’s a need for someone skilled in sales strategy, process improvement, and digital tools, with the ability to coach and uplift the team. Drive national revenue growth across liquids, packaged, hazardous and industrial waste by targeting new opportunities and expanding existing accounts. Develop tailored commercial proposals, presenting confidently to senior decision-makers and operational teams Work closely with internal operations, contractors, and pricing to design accurate and commercially sound service solutions Drive major growth. Focus on building key relationships and presenting to senior management to drive new business, an implement consistent sales methodologies and reporting to drive team and business performance.
