At Centurion Transport , we’re on the lookout for a reliable Freight Officer to join our Yard Operations team. About the Role: As a Freight Officer, you’ll be at the heart of our yard operations, ensuring freight is handled safely, accurately, and efficiently. You’ll work with a variety of freight types and forklift sizes, playing a key role in keeping our operation moving. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in safe load restraint, accuracy, and teamwork. What You’ll Be Doing: Operating counterbalance forklifts (2.5T, 7T & 16T) Handling general, ugly, palletised and oversize freight Securing loads in line with the Load Restraint Guide using ratchet straps, chains and binders Scanning and tracking freight through all stages (received, staged, loaded & unloaded) Preparing outbound freight for safe and secure dispatch Working with RF scanners to ensure accuracy and compliance What You’ll Bring: Current LF Forklift Licence with practical experience Proven experience working with general and oversize freight Strong load restraint skills (ratchet straps, chains & binders) Previous yard hand or similar experience Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team RF scanner experience (highly regarded) Why Join Centurion?
