Aviation Safety Coordinator Brisbane - Pinkenba About the Role Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for safety & quality? Join our Transformation, Aviation Safety and Quality team in Brisbane as an Aviation Safety Coordinator. Reporting to the Manager of Safety & Quality Governance, you will join the Safety & Quality Governance team in playing a pivotal role in ensuring our WHS, Quality, and Aviation Safety activities are compliant, efficient, and well-governed. You will be the "engine room" of the department, providing administrative support to safety-led activities and projects, performing document controller responsibilities supporting the maintenance of the Safety & Quality IT systems and tools and supporting our Safety and Quality Management Systems across both Australian and New Zealand operations. This role would suit someone with existing experience in aviation or safety & quality governance or those with key transferrable skills looking to commence their career in safety & quality. Key Responsibilities In this multifaceted role, you will: Coordinate Governance: Act as the first point of contact for general Safety & Quality queries and manage the Safety & Quality team inboxes to ensure requests are disseminated effectively. Support Safety Operations: Provide day-to-day administrative and governance support to Aviation Safety, WHS, Corporate Health, and Quality teams across Australia and New Zealand including, but not limited to, coordinating and scheduling meetings, minute-taking, updating noticeboards and records Manage Documentation: Maintain control of the organisation's document control management system, including document change requests, capability list updates, and the publishing of regulatory certificates. Financial Support: Verify invoices for health and safety operational expenditure. About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess a blend of administrative excellence and existing, or the desire to learn and develop, knowledge of safety and quality management systems. Essential Criteria: Experience: 2 years providing coordinator level support ideally within a safety or quality team including document management, scheduling, minute taking etc Technical Skills: Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience with document and record control. Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset and the ability to influence stakeholders. Clearance: Must be eligible for an Australian Defence Force Security clearance. Desirable Criteria: Experience and knowledge of Aviation industry standards. Experience with SAP financial records. Qualifications such as a Certificate IV in Safety or Project Management, or certification in internal audit methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 45001).
