The Opportunity We are seeking a motivated and organised Project Officer to support the delivery of ORIGINS research initiatives, with a focus on recruiting and engaging families and primary schools in the Wanneroo and Joondalup areas. Working closely with the Project Manager, ORIGINS, you will contribute to the day-to-day coordination and execution of research projects, ensuring milestones, budgets and governance requirements are met. Key responsibilities include: Supporting project planning, coordination and implementation across research initiatives. Monitoring project progress, finances, reporting requirements and interim milestones. Assisting with ethics applications, research governance and compliance obligations. Coordinating meetings, documentation and timelines, including Steering Committee activities. Supporting stakeholder engagement with schools, families, community members and partners. Collaborating with communications staff to support effective recruitment and engagement strategies. Based primarily at our offices in Edgewater, this is a part-time role at 0.8FTE for a period of two years. About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: A Bachelor-level qualification in a relevant discipline. Experience supporting research activities within a multidisciplinary team. Strong written communication skills and exceptional attention to detail. Experience preparing and submitting ethics applications. Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage respectfully with children, families and schools. Proven project coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office (especially Excel). A collaborative approach and commitment to working respectfully with diverse communities, including Aboriginal and culturally diverse peoples. Desirable: Experience using research or project management systems such as REDCap or Asana. Experience working within a school or education setting.
