About the role You’ll own and evolve the practices that power service management at Suncorp—spanning configuration, asset management, disaster recovery, service request and catalogue management—ensuring they are scalable, measurable and aligned to business outcomes. You will foster collaboration across service providers and enable continuous improvement through clear governance, insight and risk‑focused decision‑making. What you’ll do Lead the Service Foundations portfolio, embedding best‑practice frameworks and ensuring capabilities remain fit for purpose across a complex enterprise. Uplift configuration management—including CSDM service mapping, CMDB quality, discovery and data stewardship—to improve service visibility, change control and incident response. Mature hardware and software asset management to optimise cost, compliance and lifecycle control, working closely with vendor and service delivery teams. Strengthen disaster recovery governance, plans and testing cycles to uplift resilience and ensure alignment with organisational risk appetite. Establish transparent governance, forums and reporting that drive accountability, insight and continuous improvement across provider groups. Collaborate on SLAs, OLAs and underpinning contracts to align service outcomes, value and user experience. Advocate for strong service management principles, drive innovation, and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and learning across your team. What you’ll bring Broad enterprise‑scale service management experience, including ITIL, with the ability to influence stakeholders and communicate confidently up to C‑suite. Deep configuration management expertise in large, complex organisations, including experience with CMDB design, data quality and discovery tooling. Strong asset management capability with experience building processes, controls and reporting that support compliance and cost optimisation. Practical experience in disaster recovery planning and execution, translating risk needs into effective recovery strategies and measurable improvements. Extensive knowledge of IT service management principles and frameworks including ITIL, capabilities tools (ServiceNow), frameworks, and best practice methods. Proven experience in managing teams with a strong focus on mentoring and developing others ITIL certification is highly regarded.
