About the role The Membership and Communications Officer will help deliver a positive, consistent experience for their member community by ensuring smooth membership processes, clear communications, and reliable operational support across the organisation. Key responsibilities: Manage the end‑to‑end membership lifecycle, including renewals, processing applications, collating documentation, and preparing assessment packs for Board and Committee review. Maintain accurate member records and support data integrity, including contributing to CRM (HubSpot) workflows, templates, and documentation. Coordinate membership communications such as job alerts, event emails, newsletters, and weekly digests. Assist with content creation and scheduling across email, web, and social channels, ensuring brand and style guide consistency. Support the planning and delivery of events and programs, including logistics coordination and liaising with contractors. Provide secretariat support to Specialty Groups and the Membership Committee, including meetings, minutes, and reporting. Document processes, identify workflow improvements, and contribute to project work using tools like Asana. What you’ll bring Experience in membership based organisations, with an understanding of tiered membership structures and member lifecycle processes. Strong administration skills with the ability to quickly learn, navigate and adapt to new systems. A proactive, solutions focused mindset, taking initiative and seeking opportunities to improve processes and contribute new ideas. Exceptional organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail while managing competing priorities. Proficiency with HubSpot or demonstrated experience migrating across and working with multiple CRM platforms. Experience working with a volunteer base is highly desirable. Interested?
