Position Summary: This project position encompasses the design, enhancement, and management of the client's cloud-based infrastructure, with a focus on architecting robust Azure cloud systems and applications. Key objectives include implementing a comprehensive platform disaster recovery strategy and enabling multi-region API capabilities to ensure high availability and resilience. Additionally, the project position scope covers the ongoing maintenance and support of both the application and the underlying Azure platform, addressing end-user issues and driving platform stabilization. The team will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, delivering technical design, implementation, and continuous improvements. Cognizant will employ a modern DevOps toolchain to streamline processes, facilitate the seamless migration of the client's applications to the Azure cloud ecosystem, and enhance infrastructure observability across all systems. Mandatory Skills: Cloud Expertise and proficiency in major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid cloud architectures. Containerization & Orchestration hands-on experience with technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with automation tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation. Knowledge of automating deployment and integration processes using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions. Proficiency in languages like python, shell scripting, or Java for automation and development. Deep understanding of system architecture design and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure systems and microservices. Observability & Monitoring expertise with tools like Dynatrace, Grafana and Datadog for monitoring system performance and troubleshooting. Ability to define goals, manage resources, track progress, and drive complex projects to completion. Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, from engineers to executive stakeholders. Capability to plan for future scalability, anticipate technical needs, and align platform strategy with overall business goals. Strong analytical abilities to identify and mitigate risks and troubleshooting complex issues proactively. Experience in coaching and developing engineering talent and fostering a collaborative team environment. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities are, Knowledge Transition on applications/cloud Infrastructure categorized as Business Critical by the Clients. Contribute to the design and implementation of continuous integration and delivery processes for highly available and performant application stacks. Ensuring 24*7 platform/application availability through a structured monitoring framework. To involve crisis management to minimize the adverse impact of service interruptions and other incidents on Client Business operations Worke closely with developers to build continuous integration & continuous delivery pipelines DevOps tools upgrade and configuration management and Infra pipeline developments & Support Azure Cloud infra provisioning and cost analysis Support releases and production, Rollback activities Responsible for managing Information Security controls through consistent, reliable documented processes of data & platform management Responsible for the definition, design, construction, integration, testing, and support of reliable and reusable software solutions. Responsible for implementing monitoring & observability solutions Responsible for Application containerization. Docker has been the core of this experience, along with Azure Kubernetes Service and Azure DevOp Duties are Define Roadmap to establish platform vision, strategy, and roadmaps aligned with business objectives. Treat the platform as a product, focusing on developer/user experience (internal customers). Advise on strategic innovation, evaluate new technologies, and drive continuous improvement. Oversee the architectural design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable, secure infrastructure and solutions. Ensure compliance, security, data governance, and adherence to architectural standards. Optimize platform stability, security, availability, and cost-effectiveness. Identify, assess, and mitigate technical and project risks. Mentor and develop strong offshore engineering teams. Manage project timelines, resources, budgets, and deliverables. Work closely with product, business, QA and cross-functional teams. Facilitate software releases and co-ordinate the stakeholders, communicating progress, risks, and strategy. Focus on scalability & reliability to ensuring the platform can grow and remain available. Upholding critical security and regulatory standards.
