FIFO Fly from Perth Airport ONLY Roster 2:1 Role Overview The Drill Fitter is responsible for the maintenance, repair and servicing of surface drill rigs and associated equipment on site. This role plays a critical part in ensuring drill availability, reliability, and safety within mining operations. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, repair and maintain surface drill rigs and ancillary equipment such as Sandvik, CAT & other major fleets . Conduct preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs in accordance with site standards. Troubleshoot mechanical faults and identify root causes. Perform inspections and ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently. Work autonomously and collaboratively within the maintenance team. Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete required documentation. Comply with all safety, health, and environmental procedures. Skills & Requirements Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate (or equivalent). Demonstrated experience working on surface drill rigs in a mining environment. Strong mechanical diagnostic and fault-finding skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. High level of safety awareness and commitment to site procedures. HR driver’s licence preferred. FIFO mining experience highly regarded.
