Join our Innovation and Technology team as an Information Management Officer, where you’ll play a key role in collecting, opening, sorting and classifying incoming and outgoing correspondence. YOUR IMPACT: As a member of the Innovation and Technology team, you will be responsible for processing of inwards and outwards correspondence in all formats, whilst maintaining Council's active and historical records. Records Management & Documentation Processing: Ensure accuracy, accessibility, and integrity of Council records by efficiently processing and managing incoming/outgoing correspondence and documentation. Stakeholder Support & Training: Support staff and stakeholders with expert records advice, training, and proactive solutions that improved organisational record-keeping practices. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Maintain compliance with organisational policies and legislative requirements through audits, classification, and metadata management. Service Delivery & Information Access: Streamline information retrieval and fulfilment of internal/external information requests, enhancing service delivery and operational responsiveness. Data Reporting and Operational Support: Contributed reliable operational data and insights through reporting and maintenance of records registers, supporting informed decision-making and business continuity. WHAT YOU BRING: Qualifications: A Certificate or qualification in Business Administration, Records or Information Management or similar discipline. Experience: Working in Government and/or familiarity with Local Government operations. Technical Skills: Good computer skills, particularly with Microsoft programs and the use of AI.
