As our highly valued a Workflow & Intelligent Automation Developer based in Brisbane you will be responsible for designing, building, and supporting workflow and intelligent automation solutions that underpin the bank’s digital customer experiences and back of house processes. You’ll make an impact by: You are an influential member of the technology team that delivers great customer experiences for our key customer facing channels. We deliver digital self-service capabilities that enable our customers to bank how they want and when they want. We make our customers lives easier by delivering new features and removing friction. Engineering Design and implement automation workflows, integrations, and workflow applications using tools such as Dynamics 365. Apply sound software engineering principles, ensuring maintainability, scalability, and performance. Develop and maintain reuseable components, libraries, and best practices to accelerate delivery. Conduct peer reviews and provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers. Integrate systems via APIs and data pipelines, leveraging modern patterns and tools. Ensure solutions adhere to or exceed security, compliance, and governance standards. Troubleshoot and resolve defects or performance issues across automation and workflow solutions. Maintain technical documentation for developed solutions, ensuring transparency and knowledge sharing. Delivery Manage end-to-end solution delivery, from scoping and estimation through to deployment and support. Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into technical deliverables. Take ownership of assigned projects or features, ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes. Contribute to continuous delivery practices and contribute to agile processes. Collaborate with solution architects to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture blueprints. Assist with testing and validation of solutions to ensure quality, reliability, and business fit. Monitor and maintain deployed solutions to ensure operational stability and continuous improvement. Support production systems, investigating, preventing and resolving incidents promptly. Collaboration Work closely with business analysts, process owners, and end users to deliver cohesive solutions. Collaborate closely with peers, mentors and cross-functional teams to share knowledge and improve delivery outcomes. Contribute to technical design discussions and contribute to standards and frameworks Communicate progress, challenges and ideas clearly and constructively with the team. Participate in team retrospectives, continuous learning, and innovation activities to enhance team capability. Mentor and support junior developers in building technical capability and problem-solving skills. Do things differently with us To succeed in this role, you will have: We know great engineers come from different backgrounds. You don’t need to tick every box below to apply — if you can show capability and motivation, we’d love to hear from you. 2 years experience in software development and/or scripting languages. Ie. C#, Python, .net, Javascript, etc. Strong experience with workflow automation, system integration, or robotics process automation platforms - Dynamics 365 preferred. Understanding of software development fundamentals – software design patterns, version control, testing, debugging and documentation. Experience integrating with and using modern API integrations, database (SQL), and data flow between systems. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in an agile environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with curiosity to explore new tools and technologies Ability to communicate clearly and work constructively with developers, business analysts, and non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn, with a proactive approach to improving processes and technical skills.
