The role of Commercial Client Representative requires effective management of a customer portfolio by developing positive relationships with customers, understanding their requirements, and ensuring their needs are met. Specifically, it involves working with Sydney Water LIMS & SAP systems to prepare quotes, report results and issue & track invoices. In addition, this position requires support to be provided across other business areas within Laboratory Services. The responsibilities can include, but are not limited to: Develop and maintain a positive relationship with external clients ensuring their needs are understood and met. Assist with client programs and track customer satisfaction Understand laboratory capabilities - including turnaround times, capacity and new/pending methods. Prepare and issue quotes, and reports to meet the contractual requirements – including knowledge of SAP & SES entries. Be involved with the management of debtor accounts, and invoicing. Understand the requirements of NATA accreditation for Biological and Chemical laboratories and the Quality system requirements (eg. ISO 17025) Have a thorough knowledge of national and international guidelines for drinking water and wastewater analysis. Demonstrated ability to read and decipher monitoring plans when required Critically review, and authorise and report water quality data in a timely manner Organise co-ordination of samples to external laboratories Essential Requirements: Demonstrated minimum 5 years’ experience in a chemical or microbiological discipline A relevant tertiary qualification Demonstrated experience in a customer services role Demonstrated experience in managing project deliverables across a range of clients Demonstrated communication skills, including the abitity to liaise effectively with customers and to write Clear and concise reports using software packages such as Word, Excel, LIMS and Lotus Notes Please note as part of the application process, you will be asked to undergo background checks which includes a criminal history check and a medical assessment either online or in person.
