The key duties of the position include The Role The Business Intelligence Officer will be responsible for providing Business Intelligence support to Navy's Employment Category Development (NECD) branch for workforce enablement. The roles sits within the Directorate of Navy Employment Category Transformation and Reform (NECTR) that supports a number of workforce transformation and reform activities that require business intelligence tracking and reporting. The role includes the coordination of work activities informed by policy and other direction provided, developing clear work plans to provide timely and effective coordination, engagement with stakeholders to track inputs and changes, and researching best practice approaches for business intelligence coordination. The role also involves providing technical support to internal stakeholders, establishing best practice processes (e.g. standard operating procedures); identifying innovative solutions to enable future refinement of business intelligence, and supporting additional engagement activities with stakeholders as required. About our Team The Directorate of NECTR is an innovative and fast-paced team that delivers Navy's workforce in being and future workforce employment categories. We continue to support the development of Navy's suitably qualified and experienced personnel. The team primarily works with Navy but there is potential for collaboration with Air Force, Army, and other Defence Groups. The team prides itself on building and maintaining working relationships with Industry, Academia and other Government Departments. They may have experience in delivering broader project and planning products to support the business intelligence effort. They may have experience or interest in supporting communication initiatives for other projects as needed. They will be expected to support a number of areas within Navy and working across teams to deliver Directorate and Branch outcomes.
