About youAs our ideal candidate, you will possess:• Demonstrated experience working with First Nations Australians, including an understanding of the cultural norms, communication styles and complex issues experienced by Australian First Nations peoples.• Demonstrated high level diagnostic and problem-solving skills to accurately assess and address client needs.• High level communication and interpersonal skills, including good telephone skills.• Demonstrated experience/ability to multi-task across simultaneous live chat forums either in an advisory or customer service function.• Proven ability to work under pressure with maturity and resilience, deal with challenging clients with complex needs and cooperate in a team environment.• Knowledge of legal, community and welfare organisations, and an understanding of good referral practice.• A knowledge of the general business of Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) and a commitment to our vision and values.
