We are working with a client who operate in a large, complex enterprise environment, who is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support critical systems and project delivery across a highly structured, regulated setting. This role will suit someone with strong Microsoft infrastructure skills who is comfortable operating in fast-moving environments, working across multiple stakeholders, and supporting automation-focused teams. The Role You will play a key role in supporting a core automation systems function, helping teams define infrastructure requirements and ensuring reliable delivery of projects and operational support. Key responsibilities include: Partnering with automation-focused teams to understand and define infrastructure requirements Designing and determining server and infrastructure requirements for project delivery Supporting and maintaining server infrastructure, switches, and broader IT platforms Working closely with managed service providers, guiding them through fault-finding and issue resolution Performing root-cause analysis to diagnose infrastructure issues and implement fixes Operating in a highly regulated, structured environment with multiple priorities Skills & Experience: Essential: 3–5 years’ experience in IT Infrastructure roles Strong experience supporting Microsoft-based environments (Windows Servers, Active Directory) Broad technical capability across general IT infrastructure Experience working in regulated or structured environments Strong problem-solving and fault-finding capability Highly organised, with a structured way of thinking Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt quickly, and push back when required Practical, pragmatic approach to technical challenges Comfortable working in a dynamic, complex environment Desirable: Linux experience Basic networking knowledge (dedicated networking team in place)
