About the Role We are seeking a Program & Practice Lead – Children's Services to champion quality, compliance, and capability development across our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) and Early Childhood Education & Care (ECEC) services. This role drives program excellence and ensures alignment with NQS, EYLF, and sector regulations. Reporting to the Operations Manager – Children's Services, you will work in partnership with Coordinators, Nominated Supervisors, Educational Leaders, Regional Managers and other supporting roles to continuously strengthen our programs and practices. Salary Package $120,000 P.A plus Super and a $10K travel Allowance Key Responsibilities Program Development, Quality & Compliance Support OSHC and ECEC services to achieve and maintain compliance with NQF, EYLF and licensing requirements Develop and review documentation aligned with NQS and quality improvement initiatives Assist services with Assessment & Rating preparation through the Self‑Assessment Tool (SAT) Training & Capability Development Design and deliver workshops and training alongside operational leaders Coach and mentor Educational Leaders and Coordinators to strengthen workforce capability Provide specialist advice on inclusion programs such as SIP and ISP applications Inclusion & Accessibility Support Inclusion Support funding applications and inclusion grants Promote environments that welcome and celebrate all children Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Partner with internal teams, sector stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to align programs with best practice Act as a subject matter expert across curriculum, inclusion, and compliance Contribute to funding initiatives and amplify the voices of children and young people Continuous Improvement & Innovation Identify emerging trends and lead initiatives that drive program enhancement Provide expert input into policy, frameworks, and service improvement Support embedding wellbeing, play‑based learning, and community engagement This role is offered as a hybrid position, providing flexibility to balance time between: Working from home The Y NSW Head Office in Pennant Hills Travelling to Children’s Services sites across NSW to provide hands‑on support, coaching, and quality improvement guidance As Program & Practice Lead, you’ll be regularly engaging with OSHC and ECEC teams throughout The Y NSW’s portfolio. Travel is an important and rewarding aspect of the role, allowing you to directly influence service quality and build capability where it matters most. About You You are an experienced early childhood or OSHC professional with a passion for quality practice, capability building, and supporting children of all backgrounds to thrive.
