The Long Service Corporation is a standalone agency within the Department of Customer Services that reports directly to the Managing Director of Service NSW whilst maintaining its executive agency status. About the team The Long Service Corporation (LSC) manages portable long service schemes for the building and construction industry and contract cleaning industry, and we are about to launch our third scheme for community services industry (CSI). You’ll be joining the Data and Insights team within the Digital and Program Delivery division at LSC. This team is the central hub for all data and reporting across the organisation, providing insights that drive business decisions and performance. We manage the end-to-end data lifecycle, including data migration for system updates and transitions, as well as implementing data governance practices to ensure accuracy and compliance. In addition, the team plays a key role in developing KPIs, delivering high-quality dashboards and reports, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our schemes and systems. Your day-to-day: As a Senior Data Analyst, you will: - Extract, transform, and analyse data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights. - Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI to support business operations and decision-making. - Write and optimise SQL queries to manage, validate, and interrogate large datasets. - Design and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business performance and operational efficiency. - Ensure data quality through cleaning, validation, and governance practices. - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver data-driven solutions. - Provide clear, concise reporting and visualisations tailored to different audiences. - Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance data processes and reporting. To be successful in this role you will demonstrate: - Strong proficiency in SQL and Power BI, with experience in building interactive dashboards and complex queries. - Ability to design and track KPIs that align with business objectives. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and deliver meaningful insights. - Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills to influence and negotiate outcomes. - Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment. - Commitment to continuous learning and leveraging technology to improve business outcomes. - Tertiary qualifications in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
