The opportunity Under the guidance of the Director – Advisory Partnering (Portfolio Operations), you’ll play a key role in strengthening delivery capability across QTC Advisory Support the delivery of internal Advisory projects, applying structured problem-solving and analytical rigour ‑solving and analytical rigour Act as a trusted conduit between Portfolio Operations, project teams, and senior sponsors, ensuring projects are compliant and well governed Lift delivery maturity, improving frameworks, tools, reporting, and consistency across the portfolio Coach and uplift capability, helping teams adopt better ways of working and sustainable delivery practices What you’ll work on Improve delivery frameworks, tools, reporting, governance and quality standards Develop and refine playbooks, templates, and guidance to support consistent, compliant delivery Support project leads and sponsors to meet best practice delivery and compliance standards‑practice delivery and compliance standards Partner across Divisions to support shared outcomes Coaching & Capability Uplift, on-the-job support and informal mentoring to team members‑the‑job support and informal mentoring to team members Share knowledge, frameworks, and better ways of working Contribute to the delivery of complex, high value projects‑value projects Apply analytical and consulting techniques to structure problems and develop solutions Support planning, design, and delivery of Advisory engagements What you bring 3 -5 years’ experience as a consultant or part of an advisory operations team supporting projects or programs, including governance, reporting, and risk/issue management Consulting fundamentals: problem structuring, analysis, synthesis, storyline development Ability to spot improvement opportunities and drive uplift in ways of working 3–5 years’ experience in consulting, advisory, or similar professional roles Demonstrated use of structured problem-solving to analyse issues and develop solutions‑solving to analyse issues and develop solutions Strong analytical, report writing and PowerPoint skills Build the future with QTC: QTC is the central financing authority for the Queensland Government and provides financial resources and services for the State.
