Your Organisation Payroll Officer – Construction | Brisbane Build your payroll career with a growing construction business Woodforde Group is partnering with a well-established and expanding construction organisation to appoint an experienced Payroll Officer to support their Brisbane operations. This is a newly created role due to growth and upcoming acquisitions, offering exposure to a complex, high-volume payroll environment within the construction sector. Reporting to the National Payroll Manager , this role will see you take ownership of payroll processing for approximately 250 employees , working across multiple awards and an EBA. Your Role The Opportunity This position is ideal for a payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, operational environment and has strong experience within construction, infrastructure, or transport payrolls. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate, compliant payroll outcomes while supporting business growth and change. Key Responsibilities End-to-end payroll processing for salaried and waged employees Interpretation and application of multiple awards (including Building & Construction and Waste Management) and an EBA Ensuring compliance with payroll-related state legislation, including BERT and BEWT Payroll processing using JobPac , with potential use of Employment Hero for separate payroll streams Supporting payroll continuity across the broader business in collaboration with the National Payroll Manager Assisting with payroll integration for new acquisitions and employees About You You’ll bring a strong technical payroll background and a practical, detail-oriented approach. To be successful, you will have: Several years’ experience in payroll, ideally within construction, infrastructure, or transport Sound working knowledge of awards, EBAs, and payroll legislation Hands-on experience with BERT and BEWT Experience using JobPac (highly regarded) and/or Employment Hero Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple payroll systems and priorities Confidence working with operational stakeholders such as site managers and supervisors What's in it for you?
