Description The Opportunity Join a high‑performing team delivering essential power infrastructure across NSW. As a Senior Protection & Control (P&C) Technician , you’ll play a key role in the testing and commissioning of high‑voltage (HV) substations across regional NSW, Metro Sydney and surrounding areas. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands‑on, solving technical problems, and mentoring the next generation of talent. You’ll support project teams at every stage — from feasibility and estimating through to completion and commissioning. What We’re Looking For We’re seeking a skilled Senior Protection and Control technician who brings strong technical capability and a collaborative mindset. Your background will include: Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Power Systems A‑Grade Electrical Licence (desirable but not essential) 10 years’ experience in HV protection and control testing Experience testing and commissioning in transmission switchyards and substations Familiarity with Australian electrical standards (AS/NZS 3000, AS 2067) Compliance with TransGrid training and authority requirements Strong computer literacy and documentation skills Ability to work independently and as part of a site‑based crew Willingness to travel across project locations Commitment to safety, quality, cultural respect, and teamwork If you’re someone who enjoys mentoring apprentices, passing on knowledge, and supporting diverse teams — you’ll thrive here.
