As Lead Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role within a high-visibility, enterprise-wide priority program focused on streamlining and optimising Student Services. This is a hands-on, project-centric leadership role where you will “hold the fort” across multiple interdependent workstreams, ensuring requirements, processes and outcomes are aligned, consistent and delivered to best-practice standards. Working closely with senior Project Managers and Program leadership, you will shape and lead Priority initiatives, providing end-to-end business analysis oversight while guiding a small team of Business Analysts. You’ll ensure analysis activities are aligned to standard BA practices, support delivery at pace, and drive meaningful process improvement across the student lifecycle. This is a 12-month full-time fixed-term role, suited to a seasoned Lead BA who thrives in complex environments, brings a strong process mindset, and is comfortable operating with influence across dotted-line reporting structures. Key responsibilities Lead business analysis activities across a large, multi-stream program, ensuring alignment across priorities, workstreams and delivery teams Drive end-to-end requirements definition, process mapping and optimisation, with a strong focus on Student Services and operational efficiency Partner closely with Project Managers and senior stakeholders to shape delivery priorities and sequencing Ensure BA deliverables align with best-practice Business & Business Analysis (BBA) standards Champion continuous improvement, embedding process discipline and optimisation approaches across initiatives Identify risks, dependencies and impacts across workstreams and proactively manage alignment issues Who you are: You are a highly experienced Lead Business Analyst with a strong process-driven mindset and a track record of operating within large, complex programs. You are confident leading others, influencing senior stakeholders, and balancing strategic oversight with hands-on delivery. You bring structure, clarity and momentum to ambiguity and you know how to keep multiple moving parts aligned. Qualifications and Experience Minimum 10 years’ experience in Business Analysis, including experience in Lead BA or BA Team Lead roles Demonstrated experience working on large, complex, multi-workstream programs or portfolios Proven background in process improvement, optimisation and end-to-end service design Experience leading small BA teams and operating within dotted-line reporting environments Experience in the higher education or university sector (highly regarded) Background in process-driven environments with exposure to Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to operate effectively in high-visibility initiatives Technical Skills: Advanced requirements elicitation, documentation and traceability Strong process modelling, service mapping and functional design capability Experience working across Agile and Waterfall delivery models Solid understanding of SDLC, integrations and enterprise systems Additional (Nice to have) Experience with Process Mining tools or techniques to analyse, visualise and optimise end-to-end processes (e.g. identifying bottlenecks, rework and improvement opportunities) To read the full job description, please click here .
