About the Role As the Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of our school environment. Reporting to the Principal, Business Manager or nominated delegate, you will perform a variety of tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and presentation of our facilities and grounds. Key responsibilities include: Perform general groundskeeping tasks such as mowing, weeding, planting, and maintaining sports fields and gardens. Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements, including the safe handling of chemicals and equipment maintenance. Coordinate and carry out general repairs and maintenance on school infrastructure (excluding licensed trades work). Support the setup and logistical needs of school events, including arranging and moving furniture. Maintain accurate records of inventory, stock levels, and school equipment. This role would suit someone with a strong work ethic, practical maintenance skills, and a commitment to creating a safe and well-maintained school environment. About You The following traits would be beneficial: Proven hands-on experience in building maintenance, including routine repairs and upkeep of facilities. Experience in groundskeeping and facility maintenance. Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety practices. Strong organisational and time management skills.
