About the Role The Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities, plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of the school's grounds and facilities. Reporting directly to the Principal, Business Manager, or a nominated delegate, this role involves a variety of routine and non-routine tasks to maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and functionality across the school. Key responsibilities include: Performing daily tasks such as delivering mail, preparing classrooms, and maintaining school equipment and furniture. Supporting security and safety measures, including managing security systems and locking/unlocking buildings. Maintaining school grounds, including gardening, lawn care, and outdoor sports facilities. Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety standards, including safe storage and handling of materials. Coordinating repairs and maintenance of school facilities and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. About You The following traits would be beneficial: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff, students, and external stakeholders. Ability to plan and manage daily, weekly, and seasonal tasks independently and collaboratively. Experience in groundskeeping, gardening, or general maintenance tasks. Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices and procedures. Adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving and task management. Interested?
