Your opportunity Our SEQ Operations team is committed to ensuring the safety and ongoing security of our customers, passengers, and the general community. Due to our commitment to safety and on-going improvement of our network, we have a permanent full-time opportunity for a Security Risk and Education Adviser to join the Security Intelligence portfolio. In this busy, hands on, role you will join other Advisers to deliver high quality security education packages to Queensland Rail stakeholders and implement and maintain protective security risk management strategies. On a day-to-day basis as a direct report to the Security Risk and Education Team Leader, you be responsible for implementing the Security Education and Security Risk Management Programs of Work. Key Responsibilities: Produce security risk assessments and protective security reviews for Queensland Rail as part of the Security Risk Program of Work. Assist in the development and implementation of security risk-based strategies designed to reduce the frequency and severity of security incidents occurring across the network. Develop and deliver threat-based security and counter terrorism education packages to Queensland Rail employees, aligning to Queensland Rail’s approved training packages derived from national/international guidelines. Provide specialist protective security advice to Queensland Rail employees on any operational security issues. For further information please review the Position Description. About You: Proven experience in public speaking/delivery of training objectives to various audiences High level of knowledge in protective security considerations High level of skill and experience in development and delivery of security related education and awareness products, including training programs, manuals, policies and procedures. High level of interpersonal skills including the ability to conduct presentations in a formal and informal setting. The successful applicant will be required to deliver protective security advice and deliver formal security education packages on a near daily basis. Therefore self confidence in public speaking is required. Roster: This is a Mon-Fri role working 38hrs per week. This role entails a mix of office-based duties and on site (station/yard) locations in order to deliver face to face security training and risk assessments.
