This role sits at the centre of a complex Defence sustainment and upgrade environment and will play a key part in delivering critical capability outcomes for the E-7A enterprise. Working within established CASG and ASCISPO governance frameworks, you will provide senior-level project management leadership, assurance, and stakeholder engagement across the upgrade and sustainment portfolio. The role requires a strong understanding of Defence project delivery, integrated program execution, and the ability to operate with influence across multiple stakeholders. This role will suit someone who is comfortable working at pace in a complex environment, can see the system as well as the detail, and values collaborative, purpose-driven delivery. What you will be involved with In this role, you will: Undertake AIR5077 Phase 5 project management responsibilities in accordance with CASG policies, practices, and ASCISPO operating frameworks Deliver WASP project management responsibilities aligned to ASCISPO sustainment processes and the E-7A Enterprise Block Plan execution construct Operate within the broader E-7A Joint Management Framework to support coordinated delivery across upgrade and sustainment activities Engage and collaborate with BDA project peers to provide assurance that projects are progressing in line with Commonwealth expectations, including Best for Defence, Minimum Viable Capability, Speed to Capability, and Value for Money Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure project execution is integrated with broader ASCISPO outcomes and delivers fit-for-purpose capability to SRG and AFHQ Provide subject matter expertise, guidance, and mentoring to project team members and the wider ASCISPO workforce What we are looking for Extensive experience in senior project management roles within Defence or complex, highly regulated environments Strong working knowledge of CASG policies, sustainment frameworks, and Defence governance Proven experience operating within integrated program or enterprise delivery models The ability to build trusted relationships and influence outcomes across multiple stakeholder groups A pragmatic, outcomes-focused approach to project delivery and assurance Strong communication skills, with the confidence to provide guidance, challenge constructively, and mentor others An existing or ability to obtain and maintain an appropriate Defence security clearance You must be an Australian citizen and already hold, or be eligible to hold, an AGSVA NV1 security clearance.
