Salamander Hotel is looking for a passionate and hard-working Chef to join our growing team in beautiful Salamander Bay. You will be working with a fun, positive and supportive kitchen team in a busy hospitality venue. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a positive attitude, cares about their team and has a strong growth mindset. We are passionate about producing great food – from pub classics to fresh, seasonal specials – and there is real potential to grow in this role and within the group. Key Duties & Responsibilities Open and close the kitchen as required Prepare and cook pub and hotel-style food in line with menu standards Work across all kitchen sections Adjust dishes for allergies and dietary requirements Maintain high standards of food presentation and attention to detail Monitor food stock levels and assist with stock control Minimise waste and manage food costs Ensure all health, safety and hygiene regulations are followed Support and work collaboratively with other kitchen staff Qualifications & Experience Proven experience as a Cook or Chef Ability to work across all sections of the kitchen Strong understanding of stock control and waste minimisation Sound knowledge of kitchen procedures, food handling and workplace safety Food Safety Certificate required What We Offer Competitive salary and benefits Supportive and friendly team culture Opportunities for growth within the group Click “Apply for this job” to register your interest in this fulltime salaried position with a starting salary $80K - $85K (plus super)
