Digital Metro North (DMN) works collaboratively with Metro North Health (MNH) clinical leads and end users to deliver the digital transformation strategy for Metro North Health. It will ultimately create an integrated digital hospital and healthcare environment across Metro North. In meeting this strategy significant capital works are being undertaken over the next five years that includes hospital construction/refurbishment and the implementation of ieMR Advanced solution across Metro North. Delivering this will require a dedicated team, with the capacity to work across initiatives and domains, with the knowledge, determination, skills and experience to deliver. About the Role Reporting to the Manager- Digital Infrastructure, you will provide high level hardware and software technical knowledge and support in the implementation and maintenance of local digital infrastructure ICT systems ensuring that Digital Metro North (DMN) meet the needs of Metro North Health. Key knowledge and experience The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate the following: Provide proficient technical skills and abilities in relation to system administration aspects of operating systems, data protection, and data security, including but not limited to, Microsoft Windows and Linux Servers, VMware, Commvault data protection, system monitoring and virtualisation technologies, in order to maintain the availability of DMN ICT systems and services. Provide high level, responsive service for local clinical and corporate systems to Metro North Health customers through the build, testing and implementation of digital infrastructure systems. Ensure the integrity of new or upgraded systems by the application of appropriate standards for user access, system security, backup and recovery procedures, data storage, system interfaces, and of the data centre physical environment. Provide input and support in applying system modifications to the local operating environment adhering to change control procedures, so that changes, upgrades and new implementations are properly tested before installation in production environments and to ensure service disruptions are minimised. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with DMN staff, customers and suppliers in the implementation and support of local digital system infrastructure and environments so as to ensure outcomes are achieved within given timeframes. Provide responsive feedback to clients, support staff and DMN management on the status of work packages and service requests ensuring client service standards are achieved.
