Your key accountabilities The core capability requirements for this role are: - Undertake, either personally or in a team, complex analyses of sophisticated computer related investigations concerning the activities of businesses, organisations and individuals in relation to tracking and/or recovering computer related evidence, with particular emphasis on the analysis of information flows and the reconstruction of computer transactions.- Provide expert evidence, either in affidavit form or personally in Court as necessary.- Provide oral and/or written briefings as required on complex aspects of analytical tasks, with particular emphasis on computer related investigations.- Identify, develop and deliver training programs to regional police in relation to computer crime and related investigative techniques.- Actively participate in the development and implementation of computer techniques to support forensic computer analysis.- Provide assistance in an advisory capacity at interviews or Court/Tribunal hearings as required, with emphasis on computer aspects.- Liaise with relevant outside bodies including the Office of the Director of Prosecutions and other government agencies. Role Requirements Qualification - Possession of a degree from a recognised tertiary institution relevant to the computing function. Other - The successful applicant/s will be required to undergo psychometric assessment, prior to appointment.- Applicants are advised that whilst performing the duties of the position they may be exposed to material (written, visual and audio) of a graphic and sensitive nature.- This is a temporary position available until 30 June 2026, with the possibility of extension.
