Your new role: As an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advanced Health Worker - Generalist, you will play a vital role in delivering culturally safe, holistic primary health care that improves health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and families. You will: Deliver evidence-based, culturally appropriate clinical care, health promotion and education across all life stages Engage with community, government and non-government partners to strengthen referral pathways and services Advocate for clients while addressing social determinants of health through targeted programs and initiatives Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, applying advanced clinical skills within scope of practice This role is being filled using a targeted recruitment process. Unit Profile The Southern Queensland Centre of Excellence in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care is a Queensland Health service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Located in lnala, 18 km Southwest of Brisbane CBD, our clinic is staffed by GPs, nurses, allied health, and Aboriginal health workers, and visiting medical specialists. We also provide health-related services at a community level, and our research team is dedicated to finding and publishing evidence about how to improve the health of our patients.
