See more at our website - www.atsichsbrisbane.org.au Description About the role As a key member of the ATSICHS Brisbane team, the primary purpose of the Mental Health Clinician role is to provide high-quality, culturally sensitive mental health services to clients. This includes assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and support for individuals experiencing mental health issues, with a focus on promoting mental well-being and recovery. Duties Complete intake with high-risk/complex Clients assessed to be suitable for the programs. Develop and implement individualised treatment plans. Ensure assessments (screening, risk, intake, ATOMIC, and IUIH Social Health Care Pathway) are completed with clients using the designated tools and practice approach. Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Engage in ongoing professional development and training. Provide clinical support to Care Coordinators. COVID-19 Requirement Immunisation history showing you have received two doses of a Covid -19 vaccine is encouraged. Skills And Experiences Bachelor of Psychology. Minimum of 5 years professional experience in providing support and case coordination to Clients with complex mental health presentations. AND Demonstrated ability to apply a high level of practice judgement when working with clients in setting and achieving goals. Ability to work with a culturally and socially diverse group of clients, and to apply a culturally responsive framework to guide interventions, with the support of staff and management. Ability to work with diverse people and presentations in providing case managed, recovery-oriented supports. Demonstrated ability in coordinating multiple programs in providing access to holistic care for clients, particularly integrating internal and external supports. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the factors contributing to vulnerability, disengagement, and intergenerational trauma of client group. Experience with case management for high risk and/or crisis clients, with high-level planning and organisational skills. Demonstrated ability to work with a minimum of direction and to effectively communicate with and work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and to contribute to the development of creative and innovative services. Travel between work sites on a regular basis. Travel to work in the community on a regular basis. Preferred Post graduate qualifications in mental health. Previous experience in a multi-disciplinary team environment. Previous experience working in an Aboriginal Medical Service.
