About the role Permanent full time opportunity to be responsible for establishing robust frameworks for healthcare related security administration, governance and compliance matters in line with AS:44825 - 2021, ISO 22340:2025 and HB 167:2025 including: ensuring security personnel's role descriptions are contemporary, clearly defined, regularly reviewed, risk-informed and aligned with the hospital's strategic objectives. specifying key role requirements and implementing comprehensive pre-employment requirements to ensure the selection of suitable candidates. oversight of the recruitment processes and development programs to attract, retain, and enhance the skills of security staff, ensuring they are equipped to effectively safeguard the hospital environment. ongoing development and capacity building of the security and occupational violence prevention teams to optimise excellence in consumer/person centred outcomes through guiding the application of contemporary evidence-based professional practice standards and frameworks which align with and support the Metro North Health strategic direction and values. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: Work in collaboration with the Metro North Health General Manager Health and Safety Services and Facility Executive Directors to lead the security management and governance framework which includes procedures, physical security risk assessment model, security plan and audit functions. Participate in and manage the performance and development planning for yourself and staff who have a professional reporting line to this position. Collaborate with the Metro North Health interprofessional executive leadership teams to promote strategic development and growth and support others to implement policies, plans, and contemporary service delivery models.
