About the role We’re seeking an organised, analytical and proactive Operations Officer to join our Sydney CBD-based Operations team, reporting to the Operations Manager. This is a permanent, full-time role providing essential operational support across procurement, inventory, supplier coordination, and reporting, with a strong focus on data, forecasting, and operational decision-making. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a dynamic retail operations environment. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams across Australia, New Zealand, and Canada to maintain efficient supply chains and ensure our stores are fully equipped to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Key Responsibilities Prepare and analyse daily sales reports to support operational insights and decision-making. Forecast and place SKU replenishment orders twice a month, including for upcoming product launches, balancing stock availability and inventory risk. Process purchase requests from internal teams such as Projects, including fixtures, joinery, maintenance items, and medical supplies. Forecast and replenish head office and warehouse stock and equipment required for store operations. Coordinate artwork and obtain quotes for new or redesigned items such as tote bags, badges, machine covers, and cases. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage CA and NZ warehouse inventory, ensuring sufficient stock during peak seasons. Liaise with local and overseas suppliers to confirm delivery timelines and follow up on outstanding orders. Monitor stock quality issues, including managing and resolving cases of damaged or compromised inventory in the warehouse. Support operational workflows for store openings, refurbishments, and relocations, ensuring stock, materials and equipment arrive on time. About You You’re detail-oriented, logically minded, and comfortable working with data in a fast-paced retail environment. You enjoy problem-solving, can interpret information to support decisions, and communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and suppliers. Qualifications and Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar operations, supply chain, or analyst-adjacent role within a medium to large-sized fashion retailer (multinational experience preferred). Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain, Analytics, Finance, or similar (or equivalent practical experience) Proven experience communicating with overseas suppliers, ideally including China; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage but not essential Negotiation and influencing skills that deliver practical and commercially sound outcomes. Commercial awareness, including an understanding of how inventory, cost, and availability impact business performance. Demonstrated ability to analyse data using Excel, including working with formulas and pivot tables Clear, concise, and focused oral and written communication skills. A team player who builds positive working relationships to achieve business objectives. Logical and analytical approach to problem-solving and issue resolution. Strong organisational and time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. A proactive team player with initiative, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
