About the role and where you will be working: Southern Cross Care WA is looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join the team due to leave cover. We are providing a lengthy training and handover period to ensure you feel confident and supported. You will be joining an established and stable team and have exposure to a number of projects, such as the implementation of a new HRMIS. This is a flexible hybrid position, working in both our central office (Rivervale) and the ability to work from home. The ideal candidate will have experience working with PayGlobal in a complex payroll environment. This is a max term position until 30th July 2027 with the opportunity to be extended. We’ll also be asking you to:- Process complex end to end payroll, inclusive of onboarding, offboarding, contract variations, adjustments, leave cash outs, timesheet imports, data checking, variance analysis, system processes etc. within defined timeframes with high accuracy and speed Resolution of payroll queries in a timely and efficient manner Comply with audit requirements Complete complex calculations with an analytical eye for errors and variances To be considered for this role, you’ll need: Knowledge and understanding of payroll processing fundamentals, without reliance on a system Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) Knowledge of current legislative requirements relating to taxation and superannuation Advanced Excel skills The ability to think critically and problem solve Working with us: At Southern Cross Care WA, we are committed to being an employer of choice.
