About the role In this role, you will take a technical leadership position in the delivery of identity and access management services across Essential Energy, ensuring secure, reliable and efficient access to systems and data. You’ll be responsible for managing authentication controls, Active Directory services, privileged access management, identity governance and public key infrastructure, while supporting both operational needs and the ongoing uplift of our cyber security capabilities. Working closely with Digital Services, project teams and operational stakeholders, you’ll contribute to service improvement, risk reduction and the overall security maturity of the organisation. This is a permanent role can be based anywhere within Essential Energy’s operational footprint . You will be responsible for: Managing authentication, access controls and identity governance services Overseeing Active Directory domain operations and supporting related services Managing privileged access management processes and technologies Delivering IAM services within agreed service levels and meeting operational requirements Administering public key infrastructure Contributing to continuous improvement, uplift initiatives and risk‑reduction activities About You You’re an experienced and technically strong IAM professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment where security, service quality and collaboration matter. You take a proactive approach to problem‑solving, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and thrive in roles where you can contribute both to operational delivery and longer‑term capability uplift. With a customer‑focused mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement, you’re motivated to help shape a secure, resilient and future‑ready identity and access environment for Essential Energy.
