We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Officer to play a central role in supporting the agency's financial governance, strategic planning, and operational performance. This is a key position within a small but high performing finance branch, where you will apply your professional expertise to deliver accurate, timely and strategic financial advice across a diverse and complex organisational environment. You will bring strong analytical capability and a deep understanding of public sector financial frameworks, enabling you to provide high quality budget management, financial analysis, reporting and compliance assurance. In previous roles, you have demonstrated your ability to work with autonomy, influence stakeholders with evidence based insights, and support decision makers through clear, compelling financial information. You thrive in environments where multiple priorities must be managed simultaneously, and you approach challenges with initiative, sound judgement and a commitment to continuous improvement. You will use your financial expertise to help shape the agency's financial sustainability and resource planning activities. This includes partnering with senior leaders and business areas to develop budgets, manage forecasts, identify emerging risks, and support strategic decision making. You will contribute to strengthening financial controls, improving processes, and ensuring that policies, procedures and reporting remain robust, reliable and fit for purpose. The key duties of the position include Duties of the role include: Preparation of financial statements Preparation of Portfolio Budget Statements Management of external audit activity Support for the Office's internal audits Support of the Office's Audit Committee function, including preparation of quarterly papers and Secretariat support Meeting external reporting requirements Oversight of accounting operations activities, including support for management accounting function as required Insurance, non-financial performance and risk management Implementation of accounting policy and procedures Contribute to projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
