About the Team The Branch is responsible for the provision of enabling services, support and guidance on all financial management functions, procurement policy and software management within ASD. This includes finance business partnering for ASD, producing ASD's financial statements, internal budgeting and reporting, input to the Commonwealth Budget process and asset management. About the Role ASD is seeking highly qualified candidates with extensive experience in financial management in a federal government setting to join the team responsible for enabling ASD financial management across the agency. The EL2 Finance Business Partner is a senior leader who provides strategic financial advice, insight, and stewardship to support executive decision making, resource allocation, and program delivery. The role partners with business groups to translate financial information into actionable strategies, ensure compliance with the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability (PGPA) Act, and drive continuous improvement in financial management, internal budgeting and performance reporting. We are looking for Financial Managers with the following: Extensive experience leading the internal budgeting, and forecasting processes within a complex organisation. Proven ability to provide high level financial advice that supports executive decision making and organisational performance. Demonstrated experience translating financial data into meaningful insights for non financial stakeholders. Experience overseeing month end, and year end internal management reporting at an enterprise level. Demonstrated capability in managing and leading multidisciplinary finance teams, including coaching and building capability. Experience engaging with, and building productive relationships with, senior stakeholders, including senior executives. Proven ability to influence organisational outcomes through strategic financial analysis and scenario modelling. Demonstrated ability to operate in environments with competing priorities, tight deadlines, and high levels of ambiguity.
